Immigration Canyon councilors voted Aug. 18 to adopt an updated Wildland-Urban Interface (WUI) ordinance that the state directed jurisdictions to put on the books by Dec. 31, 2026. Councilor motioning and a voice vote approved ordinance 2026-0-09 after staff explained the WUI code is a separate fire-code overlay distinct from the state building code.
