The Newark City Council approved a resolution authorizing the filing of an application with the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) to support planned water-infrastructure needs, including two elevated storage tanks. City Administrator Jenni Moore said the resolution is a routine but necessary procedural step to pursue grant funding that could offset previously planned project costs.
