Taylor Perry, a Navasota resident, used the public-comment period to press the council for transparency about the city's upcoming audit. "I'm asking that we receive regular updates on the audit milestones so residents can understand the timeline and what has changed from the previous year and how we plan to prevent another late submission," Perry said, noting the city renewed a contract with the same firm that failed to meet last year's deadline.
