The county approved a conditional-use request from BJ Gill Enterprises LLC to allow a trucker lounge / bar area within an existing truck stop in Lafayette Township with limited alcohol service. Applicant Sean Gill told the agency the lounge is intended for long‑haul drivers and travelers and that safeguards were proposed: "We're planning to serve only beer, so there's no liquor service or anything like that," he said, and added the business would limit to a two‑drink maximum and require proof of e‑log status for truckers who consume alcohol.
