At its July 15 meeting the Union County Board of Commissioners took several formal actions: the consent agenda (June 30 & July 8, 2026 claims journals and meeting minutes) was approved; Court Order 2026-15 reappointing Don George and Ken Patterson to the Ambulance Advisory Committee and Court Order 2026-16 reappointing Chelsea Judy to the Tourism Promotion Advisory Committee were approved; staff was authorized to award a Title III-funded SAR vehicle up to $46,000; a $225,000 buyout of a leased Caterpillar grader was approved; and a countywide burn ban under Ordinance 2024-02 was enacted following a unanimous Fire Defense Board recommendation.
