The Union County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously May 6 to approve up to $2,000 in matching funds to support the City of Cove's Spring Clean Up Day scheduled for May 16. Cove City Recorder Lana Shira said the town has historically received Solid Waste District funding and that the match helps the event get started for the following year.
