Commissioners provided updates from the recent ISAC conference. Chair (S4) described sessions on data-center siting, energy sourcing and community considerations, saying he was "extremely impressed" by several presentations including a planning-and-zoning perspective from Linn County and utility presentations by Cedar Rapids Water Utilities. He noted discussion about power sourcing within the MISO grid and flagged construction-hour limitations that could influence local ordinances.
