A resident urged the board to draft an intergovernmental dispatch agreement using a 28E mechanism so nearby cities can piggyback on a certified letter; he said state approval is needed before November.

Don Smacker, chair of the Jackson County Board of Supervisors, opened the meeting and invited public comments. A visitor who identified himself as Josh pressed the board to draft a dispatch agreement and said the document should be structured as a 28E intergovernmental agreement so other cities can piggyback on a certified letter sent to Attorney Keyes.
