After a short presentation, the council approved a professional services agreement with SafeBuilt to provide building department management, plan review, inspections, and code enforcement support. Tracy Rodriguez (speaker 17), SafeBuilt's director of operations in Texas, explained the firm assigns a primary and secondary staff member to each municipality, runs concurrent plan reviews and uses the CommunityCore permitting software to track permits and inspections.
