Board briefed on program changes: more multigrade classrooms, AMS team restructuring and AHS staffing shifts

Assistant Superintendent Michelle Cuddeback, presenting via Zoom, outlined program changes for 2025–26. She said elementary schools will increase multigrade classrooms with grade blends (K/1, 2/3, 4/5); AMS will form two larger 7/8 teams with dedicated subject teachers plus one smaller focus team providing integrated instruction and extra academic support; and AHS will see staffing reductions that temporarily reduce class offerings while the district explores new career and technical education opportunities aligned to student interest.
