The Columbus Independent School District Board of Trustees voted unanimously on Oct. 20, 2025, to approve a new full-time equivalent position in the district. Trustee Dorothy Wostarek moved to approve the new position, and Trustee Kimberly Johnson seconded; the motion passed 7–0.
