The Decatur ISD Board of Trustees voted April 21 to approve School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) recommendations to adopt three suicide-prevention resources for district use: Random Acts of Kindness, Erika's Lighthouse and Sandy Hook Promise. Trustee Matt Joiner moved for approval and Trustee Jeremy Duncan seconded; the motion passed 7–0.
