EMS ISD construction update: Wayside MS work continues; some infrastructure and curtain‑wall issues noted

Chief Operations Officer Clete Welch briefed the board on ongoing capital projects, reporting detailed progress at Wayside Middle School (air duct completion in gym and choir room, second‑level decking, window framing, and brick installation in cafeteria) and that Eagle Mountain High School core is approximately 97% complete. Welch said calculations showed the curtain wall in the weight room did not meet the contract‑specified deflection and that the curtain wall "will be installed the correct way over the summer." The district plans to address the deficiency during the summer work window.
