Board members discussed the number of alternates on the planning board after a motion to appoint a nominee. The clerk said, "1 other alternate right now," and later noted, "Stephanie Saltzman is an alternate," indicating that if the nominee moves into a permanent seat the body will need to fill an alternate position.
