DUI Task Force flags sustained high-BAC readings in August report
The Anaconda-Deer Lodge County DUI Task Force recorded two DUIs since its last meeting and noted that every recent blood draw was .1 or greater, a trend Task Force chair Morgan Smith said has been evident since early 2026.

Morgan Smith, Anaconda-Deer Lodge County attorney and chairperson of the DUI Task Force, reported that the Task Force had recorded two DUI arrests since its last meeting and "every blood draw in the last month had been .1 or greater." Smith said the pattern of higher blood-alcohol readings has been evident since the beginning of 2026.
