Assistant Superintendent Lisa Figurell presented a three-year Curriculum & Instruction plan and a proposal to transition from the Discovery program to Advanced Accelerated, Accelerated and Honors placement models. The materials reference Public Act 101-0654 and recommend using MAP and IAR scores to determine placement; draft criteria include MAP at the 93rd percentile for Advanced Accelerated and MAP 75th percentile for Accelerated in early grades, with specific IAR and MAP thresholds outlined for grades 5–8.
