Board schedules Sept. 2 public hearing on proposed Samsung solar siting agreement

County staff told the board that Samsung has submitted a proposed solar-siting ("solar siding") agreement and that the company held prior presentations and a community open house. "We would advertise and hold public hearing, receive public comment," staff said, adding the county would follow the same process used for a prior River Trail solar project and that the requirements are "spelled out in the Code of Virginia."
