The board appointed Jeff Busby to a three‑year at‑large term on the Clay County Planning Commission following a unanimous recommendation from the planning commission. Busby introduced himself to the board: "I'm Jeff Busby. I live in Hidalgo. I have a pretty good knowledge of the mining industry and kinda interested in seeing the projects that go on in the county," he said.
