County staff introduced Dalton Charmer as the new assistant county engineer and deputy director. A presenter (S9) summarized Charmer's education (B.S. in civil engineering, University of Minnesota Duluth, 2021; M.S., 2022) and described prior work at a Minnesota consulting firm and at a large paper mill, noting he will learn the county's road, bridge and right‑of‑way programs.
