A Prairie Village resident told the council about a near-miss when an 8–10-foot tree limb, about 3–4 inches in diameter, fell into the southbound lane on Knoll between 75th and 79th, narrowly missing his car. He said there had been no substantial wind in the previous 48 hours and urged the city to prioritize tree maintenance before ice and snow arrive.
