The Washington County Board of Supervisors recorded several unanimous votes at its Feb. 25 meeting, including: adoption of an ordinance updating financial eligibility for elderly and disabled tax discounts; approval of courthouse change order number 14 (PCO 47) for $40,555.05 to add five delayed‑egress electronic exit devices; ratification of an after‑the‑fact surplus of a 2014 Dodge Charger; approval of the final HMG incentive payment (funded from the capital improvement fund); appointment of Steve Layfield to the Virginia Highlands Airport Authority; termination of the local emergency for Hurricane Helene; and certification of a closed meeting under the Virginia Freedom of Information Act. All recorded votes during the meeting segments were 7-0.
