At its Nov. 12 meeting the Sweeny ISD Board voted unanimously (6–0) to approve a modification to Policy DFE (LOCAL). The motion was made by Amanda Baca and seconded by Paul Kibodeaux.

The Sweeny ISD Board of Trustees approved a modification to Policy DFE (LOCAL) during its Nov. 12, 2024 meeting. "MOTION was made by Mrs. Baca, seconded by Mr. Kibodeaux to approve modification to Policy DFE (LOCAL) as presented. All voted aye (6, 0) Motion carried," the minutes report.
