Public commenters raised concerns about deteriorating gable ends and drainage near the library; Library Director Wendy Moulton announced a community accessibility conversation Wednesday about restroom handicap-button installations tied to a grant.

During public comment, Bruce Johnson told commissioners the library building has failing gable ends that are likely rotting and urged inspection and repair. "The gable ends are breaking down...they're probably rotting," Johnson said, and he urged the city to consider lower-cost remedies for a larger drainage issue on Northwest 17th Street that he estimated had been quoted at roughly $2,000,000 by Olson Engineering.
