The county's New Leash on Life reentry program began cohort 5 on Aug. 17 with five participants (12 max), dogs expected after Labor Day, and continued e-learning uptake and workforce development supports for participants and graduates.

Program Administrator Ms. Shaw told the board that New Leash on Life cohort 5 began Aug. 17 with five participants; 32 people were declined and 22 remain under review. "The dogs are expected to arrive after Labor Day," she said, and the program aims to reach a full capacity of 12 participants.
