The Merrick County Board of Supervisors opened gravel bids at 10:03 a.m. on July 14 for the July 1, 2026–June 30, 2027 contract year. At the public bid opening the board recorded offers from Hooker Brothers, Legacy Rock & Sand and Overland Sand & Gravel; Hooker Brothers’ bid listed Gravel F.O.B. Area 1 & Area 2 at $16.00 per ton, Mud Rock F.O.B. at $10.00 per ton and Fill Sand F.O.B. at $4.50 per ton. Legacy Rock & Sand and Overland Sand & Gravel submitted competitive bids for delivered and F.O.B. material across the county’s two bid areas.
