Public Works Chair Commissioner Ed Vincent reported that June water testing for chlorine and bacteria returned satisfactory results and that crews completed valve exercises and routine sewer flushing at Maplewood, West Homestead, West Beckert and James Drive. Vincent said the department repaired two water-main breaks at 2719 Edison and 2801 Houston that occurred within 300 feet and six hours of each other on June 10.
