At the Aug. 13 meeting, committee members discussed staffing changes in Branch I's 2027 budget. Chairperson Russ Fisher recorded a request from Branch I noting that the joint law clerk position previously shared with Vilas County will no longer be funded by Vilas; as a result Branch I is not pursuing a shared law clerk and instead requested $14,000 to be used for Court Commissioners' assistance.
