Commission approves Municode codification and discusses permitting software, procurement thresholds
Commissioners approved a Municode contract to make the town code searchable, discussed a $12,004 permitting-software module with $7,500 annual fees and signaled support for drafting procurement policy and ordinance to replace cumbersome sealed-bid charter provisions.

The commission voted to authorize a municipal-code codification contract with Municode for $5,830 and an annual renewal of $2,495, allowing residents and staff to search and download zoning and town-code documents electronically. Commissioners said an up-to-date searchable code will reduce confusion from outdated printed documents and help citizens and staff find permitting and fencing rules more easily.
