The commission voted unanimously to send a letter supporting the inclusion of Berkeley and Jefferson counties in the Shenandoah Valley Battlefields National Historic District. Commissioner Chris Cox moved for the letter, Cem Martin seconded, and the motion passed by a unanimous "aye" vote.
