Staff reports highlight open-space ordinance work and development updates

Troy reported staff and Council Member Dahl are developing an open-space/parkland dedication ordinance and that, once the draft is advanced, it will go to the town attorney for review. He described plans for a landscape screening near the police station and said staff are collecting proposals and quotes from landscaping companies.

Troy provided updates on multiple development projects: grading and erosion control are underway at Twin Oaks at the end of Copper Canyon Road; Copper Knolls Estates is close to final inspection after meeting fire-department gate requirements; and another project (referred to in the transcript as Haci De La Soul) will return to council June 8 if outstanding plat comments are addressed. He also listed upcoming community events, including a trail cleanup on June 6 (rain date June 13) and coordination for a July 4 event with the Women's Club of the Woodlands.

Troy said the finance committee reviewed the quarterly investment report and upcoming budget-season projects; one staff speaker noted an additional $526,000 in funds and that investment interest had generated roughly $20,000 per month, though interest rates have fallen since October.
