Planning commission conditionally approves Downtown Waterfront Overlay, sets Sept. 8 public hearing
After extended debate over waterfront development, the commission voted 8-1 to approve a Downtown Waterfront Overlay District with a requirement that site plans return for formal review; a special public hearing and meeting is scheduled for Sept. 8 and staff will circulate a revised ordinance the week of Sept. 1.
