Florence board adopts community water system emergency response plan

The board unanimously adopted the City of Florence Community Water System Emergency Response Plan during its June 16 meeting. The plan was adopted on the mayor's recommendation and is incorporated into the city's emergency preparedness documentation.

On June 16, 2026 the Florence Mayor and Board voted to adopt the "COMMUNITY WATER SYSTEM EMERGENCY RESPONSE PLAN." Mayor Trey Gunn recommended adoption and Alderman Mason Herrin moved adoption; Alderman Brian Grantham seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
