The court approved the contract, bond and reappointment of Jamie McConnell as Harrison County fire marshal. Sheriff Fletcher and several commissioners praised McConnell's leadership, office improvements and outreach to county departments. "Fire marshal McConnell has done a fantastic job ... lining that place out, repairing relationships throughout the county," the sheriff said during the discussion.
