Board appoints canvassers and sets fall meeting dates including demographer presentation
Wright County commissioners appointed two board members to the November canvassing board, set a tentative budget committee for Sept. 15 and scheduled a county-board meeting Sept. 29 that will include a state demographer presentation on population trends.

County Auditor Lindsay told commissioners the canvassing board — required under Minnesota statute 204C.33 — must convene between the third and eighth day following a primary election to complete final review and certification of results, and asked for two board members not on the general ballot to serve. A commissioner nominated two members and the board approved the appointments unanimously for the Nov. 10 canvass.
