Seneca County adopts 2027 health-plan design, keeps HSA contributions
Following a presentation from Brown & Brown, commissioners approved multiple resolutions adopting the 2027 health insurance plan design, HSA employer contribution policy effective 01/01/2027 and wellness incentive differentials; county used reserves to lower the effective premium increase from 11.4% to about 6%.

The Seneca County Board of Commissioners approved a package of health-insurance resolutions after a presentation from Kimberly Bond of Brown & Brown. The resolutions include an amendment to the HSA employer-contribution policy effective Jan. 1, 2027; establishment of county HSA contributions for 2027; acceptance of the 2027 plan design and premium contributions; and approval of 2027 wellness incentives that affect 2028 discounts.
