At its May 19 meeting the Florence Mayor and Board approved several administrative items in a sequence of unanimous votes. The Board approved placing a $185 advertisement in the Rankin County News congratulating the class of 2026 (motion by Alderman Brent Sistrunk, seconded by Alderman Kyle Martin); appointed Mayor Trey Gunn as the MML 2026 election voting delegate with Mayor Pro-Tem Brian Grantham as alternate (motion by Alderman John Banks, seconded by Alderman Brent Sistrunk); approved the mid-month claims docket; and approved minutes from the May 5, 2026 meeting.
