The Swissvale Shade Tree Advisory Commission discussed outreach this week for a proposed Swissvale Street Tree Steward volunteer program aimed at enlisting residents to care for street trees. Gib Miller said he added a notice to the next Swissvalian to gauge interest and will follow up after speaking with Chuck Dizard of Harrison Township on Aug. 18.
