Committee approves batch of contract decrease/close actions for DOT maintenance and equipment

Chair moved to combine a group of change order items (items 7a–i) and presented a series of motions to decrease remaining encumbrances and close expired contracts across multiple vendors that serve the Division of Transportation. Contracts cited for closure or encumbrance reductions included King Trans Company Inc., JX Truck Center, Hopkins Ford, Superior Asphalt, Vulcan Construction, Elmhurst Chicago Stone and others; the motion covered replacement parts, repair services, and the supply of paving materials.
