Commissioner Hale presented a reworked staffing proposal for the sheriff's office, describing line-by-line conversions intended to increase detention staffing and manage overtime. He said the plan would "fund 18 detention officers for mental health, funded at 6 months" and add 15 medical-watch positions, while consolidating and reassigning several administrative and supervisory positions to preserve pay integrity.
