The Ingham County Board on Aug. 25 accepted a donated custom-built ballistic vest for K9 Kobe of the Sheriff's Office K9 Unit. The vest, provided by Vested Interest in K9s, Inc., is U.S.-made, National Institute of Justice certified for bullet and stab protection, and has a stated fair-market value of $1,800.
