Chambers County OKs interlocal with Lamar University to maintain and expand flood‑sensor network

Commissioners approved an interlocal agreement with Lamar University to continue technical support for Chambers County’s five flood sensors (soon to be six) as part of a 79‑site regional network; officials said the public will have access to near‑real‑time data and that evacuation orders remain the judge’s responsibility.
