Denning postpones Sundown Stream project work amid long‑eared bat concern

Highway Superintendent Leonard Johnson told the board that his meeting with Brendan Wagner from the Rondout Neversink Stream Program led to postponing the Denning Road portion of the Sundown Stream Project until next year due to concerns involving the long‑eared bat. Johnson said the pipe for the project can be put in now but major stream work is delayed.
