The Select Board authorized PCD Director Kellee Easler to submit a Northern Border Regional Commission Catalyst Program preapplication requesting $1,000,000 (with a $200,000 match) for Commercial Street infrastructure and deferred a decision on establishing the Commercial Street TIF baseline pending more information.

Central NH Regional Planning Commission representative Mike Tardiff told the Select Board the TIF Committee recommended establishing a Commercial Street tax increment financing (TIF) baseline effective Jan. 1, 2027, and recommended pursuing a Northern Border Regional Commission (NBRC) Catalyst Program preapplication for Commercial Street infrastructure work related to anticipated redevelopment at the Allied Tannery site and a potential gravel pit. "The proposed preapplication would request $1,000,000 in infrastructure funds, with an estimated total project budget of $1,200,000 and a $200,000 match," Tardiff said.
