County building staff provided a monthly permitting and construction update, citing numerous active projects and staffing needs. Staff gave counts for recent activity — including dozens of residential and commercial permits — said 147 houses are currently under construction and estimated roughly 670 residential permits and nearly 300 commercial projects are active, producing almost 800 inspections last month. Large data-center projects remain partially unfinished while awaiting electrical service, staff said.
