During a 9:20 a.m. public hearing, the board considered a proposal to increase the SHOOK S #7 drainage assessment from $6.50 per acre ($40 minimum; $4,795.26 annually) to $40 per acre ($200 minimum; $27,533.60 annually). Drainage Supervisor Max Utterback reported no written objections but several landowners raised questions about timing and how the collection is calculated.
