City staff said the 5th Street Project is set to begin March 10 and provided updates on Smith Avenue, Pecos Avenue, Blue Hole Park improvements, Barela Road design, a Dog Valley utilities block, and a Chuck and Dale traffic study; emergency sewer funding was also noted.

Community Development staff, with a presentation by Colleen from Stantec, updated the council on multiple projects on Feb. 13. Stantec reported the 5th Street Project is set to commence on March 10; staff also outlined Smith Avenue and Pecos Avenue work, Blue Hole Park plans that include a dog park and walking trails, a Barela Road MAP from design to construction, Dog Valley utility work for one block, and a traffic study for Chuck and Dale. Emergency funding for the sewer project was reported as secured in the same departmental update.
