At the start of the Aug. 26 study session, Mayor Gregory moved to excuse Council member Rita Lam from the meeting and from the regular meeting that night; Mayor Pro Tem Gutierrez moved to approve and the motion was seconded. The city clerk conducted a roll call and the motion carried with all present voting yes.
