The Central Police Department provided its monthly report for July. Officer Michelle Lewis summarized a range of patrol and service statistics including hang‑up calls, abandoned vehicle reports, disturbances, one shots‑fired call, 63 crashes (16 parking‑lot crashes), 99 traffic stops with 42 tickets written and a total of approximately 1,196 CAD calls for the month. Lewis confirmed that CPD issues handicap parking citations and forwards supporting photos to the parish traffic court.
