Landfill updates: unsorted loads to be inspected onsite; ashes barred
After an unsorted delivery from a vendor, the board required landfill staff to inspect incoming loads and ordered vendors to sort unsorted deliveries onsite; the landfill will no longer accept ashes from burned barrels, citing fire risk. A track loader is expected within two weeks.

Ryan Allen reported that R & R Refuse delivered an unsorted load to the county landfill; after discussion the board decided landfill staff must inspect incoming deliveries and, if loads are unsorted, vendors must sort material onsite and place items in the correct disposal piles. The board also agreed the landfill will no longer accept ashes from burned barrels because of the risk of fire.
