Chair raises ride-along and missing-receipt concerns; sheriff rep requests less-lethal shotguns and training

Chair Jim Gwennap told the meeting he was concerned that deputies have been allowing family members to ride along in patrol units. Trenton Ringle, who joined the meeting, said he would address the issue and check whether a policy exists. Gwennap also reported $1,321.00 in missing credit-card receipts on employee Travis Conaway’s county card; Ringle said that if receipts are lost, the employee is responsible to reimburse the county.
